Aqua Terra is committed to doing the job right the first time. Preparation is the key. Whether we are building a garden bed or installing a stone walk we take the time to lay the best possible foundation to insure success. The finest plant material will not grow and prosper without good soil and that is where we begin. The addition of compost is the answer to virtually all soil deficiencies. From poor drainage to low fertility and from compaction to drying out too quickly compost can help to remedy the situation. Aqua Terra uses Bio-solids compost from Little River Compost in Lisbon Falls, ME. on all our gardens, literally tons of it which we both incorporate into the soil and use as mulch.  We  actually prefer using compost  rather than bark  for mulching beds and borders. It improves soil fertility, remains looking better longer and is less expensive.
